RACINE – Gary A. Zold, 55, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Gary was born in Racine on September 9, 1960 to Joseph and Elsie (nee, Makus) Zold. Gary went to North Park School, then Jerstad Agreholm, and graduated from Wm. Horlick High School. Following high school, he attended Truck Driving School and drove the "big rigs" for several years, Burlington Freight being one of them. As his interest in driving wound down, he returned to school for furnace installation and A/C repair. Gary is survived by his son, Levi. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars. He also enjoyed going up north quite often before he became ill. He lived with his girlfriend, Ellie Majeska for some years before his illness. Gary was the youngest of three brothers. Survivors include his brothers, Bob (Julie) Zold and Ron (Rachelle) Zold; nieces, Tami and Elizabeth; and nephew, Joseph Robert "JR". In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at the Roundabout Bar & Grill, 5844 Douglas Avenue, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Love & miss you forever.
