RACINE – Freddie A. Elliott, 74, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 9, 2015.Freddie was born in Plainfield, WI on August 10, 1941 to Kirk and Ethelyn (nee, Storzbach) Elliott. In 1959, Freddie moved from Plainfield to Racine. He served in the United States Navy in the early 60's. On June 28, 1968 Freddie married the former Elaine Rupnow. He worked at Hamilton Beach, Massey Ferguson and Badger State Industries where he made many friends. Freddie was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed bow hunting with his children and grandchildren and teaching them the sport of archery. Freddie was a member of the Racine Instinctive Bowmen for approximately 40 years. There were many days you could find him there joking with the guys.Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Elaine A. Elliott; children, Keith (Vicky) Elliott, David Elliott and Lynne (Eric Wellna) Elliott; his grandchildren, Justin (Birgit) Fink, Trever Elliott, Tyler Elliott, Haley Elliott and Ryan Kolter; great-granddaughter, Ridley Fink. Freddie is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.A Memorial Service for Freddie will be held at Racine Instinctive Bowmen, 14403 50th Rd. in Sturtevant, on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the archery club from 5:30 until the time of the service at 7:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.Today we lost our husband, father, grandfather and best friend. God said your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
