Racine- Francisco Lopez 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his home in Racine, Wisconsin.
He was born in Encinal County, TX (presently Webb County, TX) on July 24, 1931, to the late Jose Angel and Luz (nee: Malacara) Lopez.
Francisco proudly served his community as a Deputy Sheriff in Laredo, Texas and was previously employed at Western Publishing and Union Pacific Railroad.
Francisco had a passion for horses and dogs and enjoyed bowling, roller skating, and RVing.
He is survived by his daughter Sara Morales; his stepson Ramiro (Lourdes) Pena; his grandchildren Cynthia (Gary) Herb, Cassandra Morales, Elisa (Denny Beckett) Lopez, and Juan (Marilyn) Lopez Jr; his step-grandchildren Alejandro, Ricardo and Vanessa Pena; his 20 great-grandchildren; and his 10 great great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Francisco is preceded in death by his wife Julia Esther Vega; his son Juan Lopez Sr.; his daughter Sandra Lopez; and seven siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Parish, 1100 Erie Street, Racine, WI 53402. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church.
