RACINE – Florence R. Klawinski, 86, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Florence was born in Athens, WI on September 12, 1929 to George and Regina (nee, Riechl) Wozniak. On June 23, 1956, Florence married Harvey J. Klawinski. She retired from the City of Racine Parks and Recreation Department where she had taught Pre-School for many years and was a Senior Citizens Leader at Humble Park. Family was most important to her. Florence is survived by her husband, Harvey J. Klawinski; children, Kevin Klawinski, Kenneth Klawinski, Keith (Donna) Klawinski, Karl (Joanne) Klawinski, Karen Klawinski and Kathie Klawinski; and her grandchildren, Maranda Klawinski, David Klawinski, Allie (Andrew) Miller, Kayla Klawinski, Kelsey Perkins, Grace Klawinski and Anna Klawinski. Florence is also survived by her sisters, Lucille (John) Love, Carol (Doug) Koffarnus and Bonnie (Vern) Anderson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Glen Wozniak. The Mass of Christian Burial for Florence will be held at St. Rita's Parish, 4339 Douglas Avenue, on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Richard A. Young, O.S.A. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Wheaton Franciscan Hospice and Lakeshore Manor for all of their compassionate care.
