Racine – Esther M. Jannuzzi, 91, passed away at her home on Wednesday February 26, 2014. Esther was born in Kenosha on July 20, 1922 to Charles and Frances (nee, Schaeffer) Pellegor. She married Michael "Duke" Jannuzzi. He preceded her in death. Esther attended high school and vocational school in Kenosha. Esther worked in various factories and was employed in defense work during WWII. In her early years Esther loved roller and ice skating, traveling and sewing. She also loved singing and cooking, sometimes both at the same time. Later in life she enjoyed taking pictures, reading, scrapbooking, music, home furnishing, crafts, holidays and also hearing from family and friends. Esther is survived by her sons, Craig Jannuzzi and Daryl Jannuzzi; sister, Verna Cairo; niece and God-daughter, Susan Aiello and her family; niece, Nancy Cairo and her family; sister-in-law, Mary Pilligor; nieces, Paula Stirewalt and her family and Pat Moseley and her family. Esther is also survived by Jeanette Downes and her family, Todd Gibson and his family, John Edgerton and his family, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Melvin and Chuck. Funeral services for Esther will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
