Racine – Esther J. (nee, Meissner) Buschke, 94, passed away at Harbor House North in Kenosha on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Esther was born in Raymond on August 11, 1917 to Gustav and Martha (nee, Baker) Meissner. She married Earl Buschke on July 20, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1984. Esther was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and senior citizens club at the church. She was a member of a sewing club for many years and enjoyed bowling and playing Sheepshead. Esther was also a member of the Racine Lutheran High School Ladies Guild and volunteered for the Lutheran High Thrift Shop. Esther is survived by her children, Dianne Jung, Joyce (Kevin) Herritz and Judy (James) Hook; daughter-in-law, Ellen Buschke; grandchildren, Brian Buschke, Tim Buschke, Chris (Becky) Buschke, Jason (Kristen) Hook, Joe (Sarah) Hook, Ashley (Chris) Payne and Kyle Herritz; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jake, Noah, Maya and Parker; and sisters Martha Olsen and Millie Yurk. Esther is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Gary Buschke; son-in-law, Ron Jung; sister, Donette Geissner; and brothers, Roy Meissner, Simon Meissner and Glenn Meissner. Funeral services for Esther will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 7900 Nicholson Road, on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 5 p.m. Private family interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church Building Fund or Hospice Alliance.
