RACINE – Ernest G. Toothman, 82, passed away at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Boland Hall in Union Grove on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Ernie was born in West Virginia on July 1, 1934. He married the former Evelyn Koshak who preceded him in death on April 23, 1998. On February 4, 2000, Ernie married the former Nancy Redding. Ernie retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty years of service. He then was employed by McWhite Wire Rope in Kenosha. Ernie graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and assisted Pastors in both Racine and Kenosha. He was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Toothman; children, Judy L. (Charles B.) Anderson and Karen Toothman; step-children, Richard (Denessa) Toothman, Charles Redding, Terry Redding, Leslie (Mark) Breidenbach and Wendy (Rob) Vesely; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ernie is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, James Arthur Toothman and his daughter, Deborah Jane Feavel.Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3301 Douglas Avenue, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. John Dingman officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
