RACINE – Ermgard V. Johnson, 93, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, February 13, 2015. Ermgard was born in Treplin, Germany on June 5, 1921 to Andrew and Eva (nee, Lohse) Hoffman. On October 17, 1947, she married Henry Hoffman in Niagra, WI. He preceded her in death. Ermgard along with Henry lived in Racine most of her life. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for both Jacobsen Mfg. and the Racine Motor Inn. Ermgard is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnson and her family; son, Leslie Johnson; and brother, George (Vergil) Hoffman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Johnson and other family. In keeping with Ermgard's wishes, private family services will be held and along with Henry they will be interred in northern Wisconsin. Memorials may be directed to one's favorite charity.
