Eric Charles Becker Racine – Eric Charles Becker, 60, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, July 13, 2009. Eric was born in Kenosha on January 20, 1949 to Frank and Ruth Becker. He served in the U.S. Army as an M.P. Eric graduated with a Bachelor Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. After college he opened the Whole Earth Clay Works in what was once the old Lamberton School on Seven Mile Road for 15 years. Eric and his former wife, Maureen Michna than moved the business to their home studio for the next 20 years. Together they made and showed their artwork around the country. Eric is survived by his son, Mikhail Becker; brothers and sisters, Teri (Paul) DeCamp, Maren (Mark) Diamon, Lisa Fratter, Lance Becker, Andrea (Larry) Meyer, Frank Becker and Gretchen (Mark) Hermann; and brother-in-law, Dan Ervin. Eric is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kurt Becker; sister, Barb Ervin; and infant sister, Heidi. Private family services for Eric have been held. Memorial contributions to Eric's son would be appreciated.
