Obituary

Elmyra L. SeelmanFond du Lac- Elmyra L. Seelman, 87, formerly of Racine, was born into eternal life in the presence of her family at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac on Saturday, July 31, 2010.Myra was born in Racine on August 10, 1922 to Charles and Amelia (nee: Klema) Schlevensky. She married Leonard C. Seelman at First Evangelical Lutheran Church on July 26, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1998. Myra was employed in the payroll department for Wisconsin Natural Gas Company and also worked at Lange's drapery. She was a lifelong member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Myra was a member of the ladies aid, choir, Mary Mission and the sewing circle. She taught Sunday School and also served as Sunday School Treasurer. Myra enjoyed golfing and Bridge. She played on the women's golf leagues at Schoop Park and Johnson Park.Myra is survived by her daughter and son in law, JoEllyn and William Heinkel of Fond du Lac; granddaughter, Emily Jo Heinkel of Milwaukee; grandson, Paul Charles Heinkel of Fond du Lac; niece, Beverly (Alan) Mielke of Wautoma; nephew; Russell Schroeder of Park Falls; great nephews and nieces, John (Pat) Mielke and Judy (Don) Kirby all of Racine, Ryan (fianc Sue Collins) Schroeder of Northville, MI and Jason Schroeder of Madison; great great nephew, BJ Mielke of Watertown; and sisters- in- law, Dorothy Seelman of Marietta, GA and Lois Lauritsen of Lakewood. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Myra was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, LaVerne (Irving) Lange and Ethel (Russell) Schroeder; brother, Charles (Pearl) Schlevensky; brothers -in- law, Elmer Seelman and Harry Lauritsen; and niece, Linda Schroeder.Funeral services for Myra will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 728 Villa Street on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. John D. Roeckle officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday From 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials to First Evangelical Lutheran Church or Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac have been suggested.
