Elizabeth ProskaRacine- Elizabeth Proska, 91, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, February 27, 2012.A lifelong residence she was born in Racine on May 11, 1920 to Frank and Susan (nee: Beres) Bodi. Betty married Vincent Proska who preceded her in death on February 22, 1988. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed walking the shoreline of Lake Michigan and was an avid 'picker'. She was an animal lover especially her parrot Cesar. Betty is survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her special friend Ron Grieger. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death 4 brothers, 1 sister, 3 brothers in law and 2 sisters in law. Funeral services for Betty will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Bohemian Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association have been suggested.
