Elinor Lucille James, nee Rogers, age 96, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Majestic Heights Assisted Living Center in Hartford, Wisconsin. Elinor was born in Watertown, South Dakota on February 3, 1923, to Milton John and Florence Fay Rogers (nee Hunter). She spent most of her childhood in Lincoln, Nebraska and Salt Lake City, Utah until moving to Racine, Wisconsin in 1939. She graduated from Park High School, then attended Miss Brown's Business College in Milwaukee after which she worked at the JI Case Company as the executive secretary for the company's President and Secretary. Elinor married Robert Thomas James on June 9, 1942, and they enjoyed 50 years together until his death on June 17, 1992. They resided in Kenosha, Wisconsin until they retired to Largo, Florida. Late in life, Elinor moved back to Wisconsin to be with her loving family. Survivors include her two daughters Marcia Lee Scharpf (Donald) and Judy Lynn Raduka (John M); grandchildren Christopher J. Scharpf (Darcy), Lindsay A. (nee Scharpf) Wysocki (Bradley), Lauren E. Raduka and John T. Raduka; greatgrandchildren Fiona and Sydney Scharpf and Rhys Wysocki; and many nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans or Horizon Hospice – Hartford, WI. The family would like to thank the staff at Majestic Heights Assisted Living Center and Horizon Hospice for the loving care they gave to her up until her death.
