Eleanore M. Ratzburg Racine - Eleanore M. Ratzburg, 87, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, February 20, 2009. Eleanore was born in Tigerton, WI on November 4, 1921 to Edward and Anna (nee, Piehl) Knoke. She married William J. Ratzburg, Sr. in Milwaukee on September 29, 1945. Eleanore was employed with Mamco for over 15 years. She loved to play Shafskopf, cribbage and vacation in northern Wisconsin. Eleanore, together with William, enjoyed frequenting the various Senor Centers in Racine. Eleanore is survived by her husband, William J. Ratzburg, Sr.; sons, William J. (Marilyn A.) Ratzburg, Jr. and Robert E. (Sharon) Ratzburg; grandchildren, Aaron (Kellie) Ratzburg, Nikolaus (Shanna) Ratzburg and Zachary Ratzburg; and great-granddaughter, Brooke Ratzburg. Eleanore is also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Gretchen Ratzburg; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Walter Perkins. Funeral services for Eleanore will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in Roseland Cemetery in Marion, WI. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
