Racine – Eldon M. Brumbaugh, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the age of 90. Eldon was born in Goshen, Indiana on December 10, 1924 to Floyd and Emma (ne Casanega) Brumbaugh. Eldon was united in marriage to Ethel F. Olsen on November 27, 1956. He served in the US Army and was a WWII veteran having served in the Battle of the Bulge, being one of the few survivors of his platoon. Eldon was employed by J.I. Case Company where he worked as an engineer for 35 years, last serving as Director of Corporate Engineering. Eldon loved to work on special projects around the house and was the "go to" fix it guy for all his family, friends and neighbors. He also loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, James W. (Teresa) Brumbaugh of Farmington, MN and Joanne M. (Curtis) Beischel of Oak Creek; grandchildren, Gregory and Sarah Beischel. Eldon is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Arline (J.C.) Murphy; and his brother and sister-in-law, Floyd (Marge) Brumbaugh. Memorial services for Eldon will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. with Chaplain Homer Kohn officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and School in Caledonia have been suggested. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Eldon's caregiver, Anna Motulewicz for all of her compassionate care.
