Edwin H. Selky Racine - Edwin H. Selky, 78, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Ed was born in Racine on December 29, 1928 to Herman and Mary (nee, Boblitz) Selky. He was united in marriage to the former Bette E. Lampman in Colorado Springs, CO on April 6, 1951. Ed served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era. He retired from Cooper Industries after 8 years. Ed was a member of Teamsters Local 43. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Bette E. Selky; children, Daniel (Beverly) Selky of Iowa, Debora M. Gault of Waterford and Douglas E. (Joan) Selky of Racine; grandchildren, Emelia Grace Selky and Lilian Faith Selky; and sisters, Alma Sucharda of Racine and Ida Anderson of FL. Ed is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Albert Selky and Robert Selky. Funeral services for Ed will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 4701 Erie Street, on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
