San Dimas, CA - Dr. Edward Allen Sanders passed away on August 8, 2013 in San Dimas, California. He was born on November 7, 1929 in Racine, Wisconsin to Edward and Anna Sanders. Dr. Sanders was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and went on to achieve the title of Lieutenant Colonel with the Air War College at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. Shortly after leaving the service he met the love of his life, Sumiko, and the two were married over 40 years. Dr. Sanders earned his doctorate and served his community in Southern California for the last several decades as a well-respected physician and surgeon. Dr. Sanders is survived by 8 nephews, 11 nieces, and many loving family members, close friends, and loyal colleagues. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and his beloved wife, Sumiko. We are all grateful for the care and dedication that he gave each person that came into his life – be it patients, friends, and family. He will be dearly missed.A graveside service for Dr. Sanders will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32, on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Robert Starr officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow.
