Edna Ruth Johnson'Ruthie' Racine - Edna Ruth Johnson, nee Drier, 85, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Friday, December 07, 2007. Ruthie was born in Wakefield Township, Michigan on March 21, 1922 to Fred and Edna Mae (nee, Dell) Drier. She married Voitto Fritzoff Johnson in Bowling Green, IN on June 20, 1942. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1999. Ruthie loved to work outdoors with her father when she was young. She loved the outdoors; studying nature, trees, plants and birds.Survivors include her children, Phillip (Susan) Johnson, Sharon Lentz, Faye (Robert) Logan and Brian (Rhonda) Johnson; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Donna Weber; and granddaughter, Carrie Hunt. Funeral Services for Ruthie will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
