Douglas G Mahnke's Obituary
Douglas G. Mahnke, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at his residence.
He was born in South Dakota on April 11, 1950 to the late Melvin and Beulah (nee: Griffin) Mahnke.
Doug attended Watertown High School, SD and was a 1968 graduate of Hudson High School, WI. He attended UW Stout. Doug was a sales representative with Nelson Electric until his retirement in 2017.
Doug was very outgoing and loved being around people. He enjoyed listening to the Grateful Dead and bluegrass.
He is survived by his sister Lesley (Jamie) Wreden; his brother Stephen (Lynn) Mahnke; his step-sons Jeremy Klappauf and Jason Klappauf; his three nieces; and his friend and caregiver Steve (Lisa) Novak. Doug is further survived by his daughter Heather and his grandchildren.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held privately.
