RACINE—Dorothy L. Sura (nee, Hayek), 97, passed away at Ascension All Saints on July 10, 2017. Dorothy was born in Wisconsin on April 17, 1920 to Charles and Anna (nee, Jensen) Hayek. She was united in marriage to Earl Sura on September 29, 1942. For the majority of her life she was a homemaker and also worked at Walker Manufacturing for 15 years. Dorothy enjoyed travel, reading, crossword puzzles and was an avid Cubs and Packers fan. Dorothy is survived by children, Lawrence, and Lynn (David)Montgomery; grandchildren, Geoffrey and James (Kristi) Montgomery, Carter and Hayden Sura; great grandchildren, Cameron and Madelyn Montgomery. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, her son Earl (Butch), her parents and sister Lillian Vermey. Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. Entombment to follow at Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Memorials to be directed to the family.
