Doris G. MundtRacine- Doris G. Mundt, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.Doris was born in Racine on April 6, 1922 to James and Estella (nee: Cichanofski) Bronson. She married Donald Mundt in Racine on October 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2010. Doris devoted her life to taking care of her husband and sons, running the household and making sure that the important things got done. Doris made sure that she did everything she could to help her sons, always being there to lend a hand. She looked forward to her weekly visits to Autumn Leaf Salon, enjoying the company of Sue, Shelia and Gloria. Doris liked to dine at River Run and Sausage Kitchen and valued the kindness and friendship of the staff especially Dave, Pat and Chris. She enjoyed watching baseball cheering on the Brewers, attending a few games each season. Doris cherished the time she spent in the North Woods with her sister Marion taking trips to the cabin in Sugar Camp Lake. She is survived by her sons, Donald Jr. (Lynn) Mundt and Raymond Mundt. Doris is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and Ralph and Julie Arndt, who she considered to be like her son and daughter and their children Jeff and Christine. Doris was preceded in death by her brothers James Russell, Jr. and Charles Bronson and her sister Marion Blickle.In keeping with Doris' wishes cremation will take place and no services will be held. Private inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park.Doris's family would like to thank the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and Willowcrest Care Center for the exceptional and loving care given to their mother in the last few weeks of her life.
