Obituary
Doris was born in Kenosha, on April 29, 1933, to Sigurd and Ingeborg Swanson. She married Thomas Cecchini on September 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2017. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. Doris enjoyed playing golf, tennis, gardening, boating, shopping and trips to the casino. In her younger years, Doris was a violinist in the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra. She was employed at American Motors and then went on to work along with her family at United Construction.
Doris is survived by her sons and daughters in law David (Kurri), Mark (Debby) and Thomas (Paula) Cecchini, grandchildren Matthew (Nicole) Adam, Michael (Brittany), Nicole, Ryan, Jessica (Jeramiah), Nikolas, Dominic, Rachel (Rob), Katie (Nick), Laura and Ashley, 16 great grandchildren, nieces Cheri (Mike) Leigh and Laurie (Alex) Spa. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her daughter Joan T. Anzalone and sister and brother-in-law Marion (Ernest) Laroque.
Funeral services for Doris will be held at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road, on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
