Obituary

Donna M. Zemke 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in her home.

She was born in Raymond on November 21, 1933 to the late Victor and Donette (nee: Meissner) Geissner.

Donna was a 1951 graduate of Racine Lutheran High School.

On November 8, 1958 she married Earl O. Zemke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia.

Donna loved flowers and enjoyed gardening and working in greenhouses. She was very creative putting baskets together at Milaeger’s for many years until her retirement.

She was a huge sports fan. Donna enjoyed watching Indy and NASCAR races; the Brewers, the Packers the Bucks; but her favorite was cheering on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their sporting events. She enjoyed riding in the UTV up north, her daily car rides in the country, train trips and bus tours. Donna was always watching for the birds, deer and turkeys in the yard and she liked to bake.

Above all, Donna was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted, faith-filled member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Earl Zemke; her son Robert (Elizabeth) Zemke; her granddaughters Katelynn (Brad) Lauer and Amanda (Matt) Glaman; her great-grandchildren Brooklynn, Blaire, Aiden, Asher and Archer; her siblings Janice Aiello, James (Kathy) Geissner and Lois (Ed) Engel. Donna is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her Son Jeffrey Zemke; her grandson Robert J. Zemke II; and her sisters and brothers-in-law Carol (Gasper) Denoto, Shirley (Keith) Mentink, and Sandra Geissner and Frank Aiello.

Funeral services for Donna will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7852 Nicholson Road, Caledonia. Interment will follow in Caledonia Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or School have been suggested.
