Racine- Donald H. Meracle, Jr., 77, passed away at Francis House in South Milwaukee on Sunday, February 21, 2010.Don was born on December 13, 1932 to Donald H. and Katherine C. (nee: Hauch) Meracle, Sr. He married Marcia Swanson. Don was a professor teaching at many colleges. He had a passion for teaching and lecturing. Don was a collector of Napolean artifacts, nutcracker artifacts and Bulldogs. In his younger years he collected stamps. Don enjoyed watching old Western and Action TV shows and movies. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Meracle; aunt, Elinore Hauch; cousins, A. Jerome Pfeiffer, Maryellen Carlson and Dennis Horvath and mother in law, Elinor Swanson. Don is also survived by other relatives and friends.A memorial service for Don will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.. Memorials to St. John Nepomuk have been suggested.
