Obituary

RACINE – Donald K. Lee, Sr., 83, passed away at St. Catherine's Medical Center inKenosha, on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Don was born in South Milwaukee on March 21, 1931 to the late Joseph J. and Eunice Evelyn (nee, O'Day) Lee. He married the former Minnie Geraldine Dietz. She preceded him in death. Don served in the U.S. Air force during the Korean War. He retired from Bucyrus Erie after more than forty years. He was an active union member, serving as steward. Don loved spending time up north at his trailer at Little Silver Lake where he spent many hours fishing and deer hunting. He also loved to watch the Packers, travel, spend time in Florida with his brothers and sisters and at the casinos. He also loved spending time with all his furry four legged friends. Survivors include his children, Deborah A. (Thomas Pieper) Ferber, Diane (Bernard Little) McKay, Donald K. Lee, Jr., Janice Dawn Cooper, Janet Denise Allesxandro, Mary Elizabeth Lee and Sharon Lynne (Randall) Loomis; grandchildren, Robert Keith McKay, Jennifer Mary (Dave) Menges, Michael James McKay, Adam Robert McKay, Crystal Mary Lee, Donald Keith Lee, III, Heidi (Raymond) Schockley, Charles Galubinski, Kristymarie (John) Espiritu, Amanda (Cliff) Williams, Frank J. (Grace) Allesxandro, Amy G. (Mark) Spring, Randall Robert (Karla) Loomis, Jr., Steven Keith (Lisa) Loomis and Joseph James (Marie) Loomis; and many great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brothers, Joseph (Gloria) Lee and Robert E. (Arlene) Lee; sister, Eleanor (Norman) Barth; special friends, Robert T. McKay and Perry Erb; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Pursell; and grandson, Andrew McKay. Funeral services for Don will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, March 6, 2015 at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested. The family would like to thank the staff's at St. Catherine's Medical Center and Dr. Michael Mullane's office for all of their loving care and especially to Dr. Ned Mejalli for his kindness, compassion and friendship over the years.
