RACINE – Donald F. Jaeck, 84, passed away at Ascension All Saints on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Don was born in Racine on March 9, 1933 to Harvey and Lydia (nee, Kraftschenk) Jaeck. On May 16, 1959, he married the former Suzanne Wyma at St. John's Lutheran Church. Don served in the U.S. Navy during Korea. He retired from Western Publishing Company in 1995 after 39 years. Don enjoyed bowling with the Western league, golfing in the county leagues and loved trying to keep his lawn the greenest. He enjoyed spending his time traveling on cruises with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Jaeck; children, David (Lisa) Jaeck, Thomas Jaeck, Timothy (Lori) Jaeck and Daniel (Megan) Jaeck; grandchildren, David (Sarah) Jaeck, Melissa and Mitchell Jaeck and Rylie Rae Jaeck; sister, Nancy (John) Smith; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol Wyma of Merrill, WI, Charles (Carolyn) Wyma of Racine and Howard Latshaw of Kenosha. Don is also survived by other relatives and friends, Pat Karls and Cathy Jaeck. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Marguerite Wyma; sister-in-law, Lois Latshaw; brother-in-law, Lowell Wyma; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Don will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, corner of Erie and Kewaunee Street, on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or Racine Lutheran High School.
