RACINE – Dianne Marie (nee, Schuppe) Jacobsen, 76, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving daughters on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Dianne was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 11, 1938. Dianne loved to knit and crochet and was very active in the community knitting prayer shawls and baby blankets for those in need. She especially loved knitting afghans, scarves and slippers for her daughters and grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Maren (Donald) Petras, Kristina Baringer and Suzanne (Kevin) Lyons; grandchildren, Andrew, Adam and Megan Petras, Ashley and Karley Baringer, and Connor, Riley and Brody Lyons; sister, Judith (Daniel) Bentz; and brother, William Schuppe. Dianne is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma (nee, Hempel) Schuppe. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff on 3C at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center and their Home Hospice staff for exceptional care. A memorial service for Dianne will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Avenue, on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. followed by a memorial luncheon.
