Racine – Dennis H. "Butch" Radford, Jr., 62, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013. Butch was born in Racine on April 29, 1951 to Dennis and Florence (nee, Kline) Radford, Sr. He graduated from Case High School and proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp in Vietnam. Butch was a very giving person, always willing to lend a helping hand. He helped take care of his parents and sisters prior to their passing away. He loved animals, was an avid football fan and enjoyed throwing cookouts for his family and friends. Butch was the proud uncle of his niece and nephews. Butch is survived by his brother, James William (Linda) Radford; sister, Sherrie Kaufman; niece and nephews, Steven Kaufman, Javanta Kaufman, Ashley Kaufman and Gregory Kaufman; and special friends, Lynn and Wendy Davis, and Joylyn and Paul Furner. Butch is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Shirley Ann Lauze and Sandra Lee Radford; and brother-in-law, Daniel Kaufman. In keeping with Butch's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held followed by inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Mt. Pleasant Police and Fire Departments, State Fire Marshall and Medical Examiner Michael Payne for their respect, kindness and compassion throughout a difficult time.
