Obituary
Caledonia- Debra A. Halverson 65, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the The Bay of Burlington Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Racine on December 1, 1958 to the late George and Laverne (nee: Radtke) Simonsen.
On January 23, 1987 Debra married John Halverson. Sadly, he passed away March 20, 2023.
She was employed with Lovdahl Manufacturing and Burlington Coat Factory.
Debra had a huge heart, kind spirit and was loved by all. In her younger years she spent time fishing and flower gardening. She loved to cook and go for rides out in the country and down to the lake.
She is survived by her son Jake Halverson; her brother Gary (Sue) Simonsen; and her sisters Donna Zaeske, Carol Holland, Jean Goers and Judy Simonsen.
In addition to her parents and husband, Debra is preceded in death by her daughter Katie Rose Halverson, her sister Terry Davis and her brother Todd Simonsen.
A memorial service for Debra will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 3626 HWY 31, Racine. Light refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials made payable to Jean Goers (Jake's Halverson's aunt) and mailed to Purath-Strand Funeral Home, are greatly appreciated. The address is as follows:
