Obituary
He was born in Hammond, Indiana on February 1, 1964 to the late Gilbert E. and Dorothy M. (nee: Roberts) Wallace.
He graduated from Bloomington North High School in 1984. Dean earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University.
On April 19, 1996 Dean married Patricia R. Knowles.
He worked for Master Lock for over 20 years and was recently employed as a machine repair journeyman with Caterpillar.
Dean enjoyed listening to classic rock, working in the yard, cooking and feeding the birds and squirrels.
He survived by his wife of 29 years Patricia Wallace; his sister Brenda Hidalgo; and his nephews Danny (Laura) Hidalgo and Nick (Maritza) Hidalgo.
A memorial visitation for Dean will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Purath-Strand Funeral Home.
