Daniel D. Bowen Racine – Daniel D. Bowen, 75, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Saturday, July 30, 2011. Dan was born in Bangor, WI on July 16, 1936 to Harry and Adelia (nee, Danielson) Bowen. He married the former Connie Andersen in Racine on May 15, 1987 and were together for more than ten years before their marriage. Dan had been employed by Lakeside Factor and Janes Mfg. In retirement he worked as a handyman. Dan loved deer hunting, fishing and playing euchre with his great-niece and great-nephews when they went up north. He was a man of all jokes. Dan is survived by his wife, Connie Bowen; daughters, Susan (Brian) Offord of Lodi and Julie (Richard) Davidson of Houston, TX; grandsons, Ben Bowen and Travis Bowen of Lodi; brothers, Lyle (Sandy) Bowen of Racine, Vern (Lucy) Bowen of Adam and Irvin (Nancy) Bowen of Sparta; his sister, Elaine Clemons of Racine; and his dog, Angel. Dan is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nephews, niece, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister; and his best pet friend, Max. A service for Dan will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
