Racine Daniel Peter Behmke, 86, passed away at Kindred North in Kenosha on October 12, 2013 Dan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 28, 1927 to Stanley and Frances (nee: Radomski) Behmke. Dan enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, cribbage, watching his favorite westerns and following his favorite baseball and football teams. He also loved Sunday drives through the country where he always sought a new little diner or caf to stop at for lunch. Survivors include his Daughters, Fran (Dave) Kinsey, Barbara (Larry) Litz, Mary (Paul) Schinkowitch , and Son Dana (Judy) Behmke; Grandchildren, April (James) Hope, Chrissy (Zachary) Swiger, Alisha (Charles Park) Eckhoff, Theresa and Emily Schinkowitch, David (Jodi) Behmke, Derek (Jesse) Behmke, Darin (Kasey) Behmke; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Gary Behmke, brothers, sisters; and a special friend, Virginia Paolocci. A memorial service for Dan will be held at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio Street, on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 5 p.m. with a memorial gathering to follow until 7 p.m.
