Racine – Dale J. "Skip" Rogers, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Skip was born in Racine on August 15, 1956 to E. Dale Rogers and Patricia (nee, Tower) Rogers Remus. He married the former Lori A. Osvatic in Racine on September 4, 1994. Skip was a self-employed contractor for over twenty years as well as a jack of all trades. He spent his time remodeling his home and loved to discuss politics. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing. Skip is survived by his wife, Lori A. Rogers; children, Danielle Rogers and Justin Rogers; mother, Patricia Remus; step-father, Robert Remus, Sr.; and his sisters, Debra Rogers, Patricia (Dan) Szymczak, Susan Remus and Kathleen (Joseph) Thurmes. Skip is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Robert Remus, Jr. and brother-in-law, Paul Coxhead. A Memorial Service for Dale will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dan Petersen and Elder Chuck Kuiper officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the family.
