Carlsbad, CA – Clarice H. (nee, Nelson) Christoffersen, 92, passed away at her home on April 13, 2012. She will be dearly missed. Clarie was born in Racine on May 27, 1919 to Edward and Clara Mary (nee, Laux) Nelson. She graduated from Park High School in 1937, and worked at the Wisconsin Natural Gas Company until 1946. She was married to George J. White, Jr. from July 21, 1945 until his death on December 9, 1969. Clarie attended St. Luke's Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school, and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Guild. She worked in the Finance Department of Racine City Hall from 1970 until 1974. On April 6, 1974 she married Robert V. 'Chris' Christoffersen and moved to California where they enjoyed motor homing with Bounders United. Clarie served as Bounder's Historian, preserving many wonderful memories. Clarie is survived by her husband, Robert 'Chris' Christoffersen; daughters, Karen (Thomas E.) White Weinfurter and Kathy (Dale) White Peccarelli; grandchildren, Krista (Jason) Brooks, Kara (Donald) Willis, Thomas J. Weinfurter, Jon Peccarelli and Jared (Megan) Peccarelli; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Harper, Kassidy, Elizabeth and Antoinette; her sister, Sharon (Louis) Peccarelli; sister-in-law, Helen Nelson; brothers-in-law, Philip Litrenta, Leon Wickersham and many nieces and nephews. Clarie is also survived by step-daughters, Dawn (Edward) Cooper and Karen (John Capellaro) Christoffersen; son-in-law, John Bolton; grandchildren, Megan, Travis, Yuri, Eric, Ryan, Kevin, Natasha, Robyn and Diana; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Logan and Bryer. Our sincere appreciation to her wonderful caregiver, Amy Stoddard, that Clarie loved as a daughter. Clarie was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George J. White, Jr.; siblings, Lois Wickersham, Delores Litrenta, Allen 'Bud' Nelson; and step-daughter, Lorretta Bolton. A Memorial Service for Clarie will be celebrated at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 614 Main Street, on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Liz Simmons officiating. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery directly following the service. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke's Church and St. Luke's Hospitality Center have been suggested.
