Racine – Claire K. Saulitis, 70, passed away at home on Thursday, November 22, 2012. Claire was born in Sheboygan on February 9, 1942 to Edward and Corrine (nee, King) Nonnweiler. She married Girts 'Gary' Saulitis. Claire earned her Associates Degree from Gateway Technical College in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising in 1986 where she was Valedictorian of her class. She worked for many years in the Retail Clothing business. Claire was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Girts 'Gary' Saulitis, children, Elizabeth (Michael) Czerwinski, Thomas Lein and Michele (Robert) Hess; grandchildren, Melissa (Mick) Verbetan, Justin (Kristen) Czerwinski, Jessica, Jennifer and Jacklyn Lein, and Robert and Thomas Hess; great-grandchildren, Jozalyn and Holdyn Adams, Anthony Czerwinski, Isabelle Gonzales and Rayea Fitzsimmons; and a special God-child, Jacklyn Claire Lein. Claire is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Renee Perez. Funeral services for Claire will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon until the time of the services. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Richard Odders, Dr. Ryan Engel and the nurses and staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
