Christine J. Hanson Sturtevant - Christine J. (Nee, Voetberg) Hanson, 53, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Chris was born in Racine on August 17, 1953 to Ralph and June (nee, Sondergaard) Voetberg. She married Wesley R. Hanson at Bethania Lutheran Church in Racine on April 1, 1978. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1998. Chris was employed by J.I. Case Company for over 28 years and was a member of the Case Twenty Year Club. Survivors include her father, Ralph Voetberg of Sayner; step daughter, Leslie Hanson of Sturtevant; granddaughter, Hilary (Mike Daniels) Smith of Syracuse, NY; great grandchildren, Madison Daniels-Smith and Aiden Daniels-Smith; sisters, Sue (Ross) Henderson of Sayner and Cory (George, Sr.) Rosen of Racine and their children, Jennifer Lopez, Emily Rosen, George Rosen, Jr.; sister-in-law, Darlene (Keith) Muffick of Racine; aunts, Jeanette (Buck) Jenkins of Kenosha and Grace (Dick) Jelnick of Milwaukee; nieces, and nephews, Shawn (Wally) Scanlon and their children, Makenzie and Morgan, Stacy (Jerome) Cannon and their children Alexandria and Anastacia, Patrick (Alicia Roberson) Meshenky and their children, Wesley and Nanea, Karen (Tom) Kelly and their children, Scott and Laura, Jeff Muffick and his children, Lauren and Logan, and Jackie Grisham and her children, Michael (fiance' Sarah Grieseman) Lidholm and Joshua. Chris is also survived by very special friends, Jack, Jean and Aaron Lockard, Vince and Liz Laudato, Bill and Elaine Beck, Bill and Jesse Zamenik, Carrol Wright, Jean and Dennis Dragan; and her girls, Molly and Sadie. She was preceded in death by her mother; maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services for Chris will be held at Franksville United Methodist Church, 10402 Northwestern Avenue, on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Kaye Glennon officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home this Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to ALSA of Wisconsin. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jack, Jean and Aaron Lockard, and Vince and Liz Laudato for their many years of friendship and caring. Also a thank you to Dr. Wendy Peltier of Froedtert Hospital, Dr. Goodrich and his nurse Emily, Wheaton-Franciscan Home health and Hospice, especially Kathy Link, and Right-At-Home Care, especially Jackie, for all of their care and compassion.
