Chester Kinsley,88, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Chester was born on January 12, 1938, in Winter, Wisconsin, to Ray and Florence (née Daugherty) Kinsley. He was one of thirteen children and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Chester was a mechanic and administrative clerk for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years.
On July 23, 1960, he married the love of his life, Doreen Cichon, in Winter, Wisconsin. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage and raised three children. Chester and Doreen enjoyed spending time together square dancing, four wheeling, fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling. They especially cherished the memories they made at their cabin up north. Chester liked old westerns and John Wayne. He was a good Cribbage, Poker, Sheepshead and Pinochle player.
Chester is survived by his children, Tammy Prochaska, Jerome (April) Kinsley and Dan (Kathy) Kinsley, grandchildren, Nicole (Paul) Baumgart, Steven Kinsley, Amanda Zimdars, Tony Zimdars, Robert (Jessie) Kinsley, Zack (Katie) Kinsley and Jamie Vanwey, great grandchildren Bryce, Weston, Paxton, Cooper, Gracie, Caleb and Abbie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chester was preceded in death by his wife Doreen, son in law Todd Prochaska, parents, brother and sisters.
A visitation for Chester will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Winter Cemetery at a later date.
