Cheryl Lee WachsRacine- Cheryl Lee Wachs (nee: Heaton), 62, passed away at St. Luke's South Shore on Friday, August 03, 2007Cheryl was born in Fargo, North Dakota on September 22, 1944 to Frederick and Margaret (nee: Chase) Heaton. She married Wayne Wachs in Racine. He preceded her in death in 1997. Cheryl enjoyed doing puzzles, ceramics and Crafts. She liked to spend time outdoors, flowers and recently took an interest in birds. Most of all Cheryl enjoyed family gatherings.She is survived by her mother, Margaret Heaton; children, Daniel (Joanne Haysmer-Wachs) Wachs and Ann Wachs; step grandson, Shane Haysmer; and sister in law, Susan (Wachs) Perry. Cheryl is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.Memorial service for Cheryl will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 7:00pm. Inurnment will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the American Caner Society or the American Diabetes Association have been suggested.
