Charlotte Schimmel Kenosha - Charlotte Schimmel, 56, passed away at her home on Monday, July 9, 2007. Lynn was born in Arkansas on February 17, 1951 to Cletus and Edna (nee, Johnson) Storey. She moved to Kenosha and then to Racine where she attended school. In 1967, she married William 'Bill' Schimmel. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was employed in the health care profession, working with the elderly for many years. Lynn loved country music, gardening and had a flair for decorating, often having visitors compliment her on the hominess and comfort of her home. Survivors include her companion of five years, Nick Paczkowski, Sr.; her mother, Edna Storey of Racine; two loving children, Matt (Kim) Schimmel and Kelly McDannel both of Racine; six grandchildren, Justin and Jessica Schimmel, Cory, Kaelyn, Cassie, and Kendall McDannel; brothers, Sonny (Barb) Storey of Racine and Gary (Cindy) Storey, of Bruce; sisters, Sue (Dave) Hamilton of Ladysmith and Phyllis of Palm Bay, FL. Lynn is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father in 2006. Funeral services for Lynn will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Raymond A. Christenson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
