Charles H. Wasinack, 96, passed away at Ascension Spring Street Campus on Friday, November 22, 2024.
Charles was born in Racine on June 12, 1928, to Joseph and Marie (nee: Schubert) Wasinack. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On August 4, 1951, He married Mary Orlovsky at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on January 18, 1998. Charles was employed at Hamilton Beach for 17 years. He then went to work for the City of Racine DPW until his retirement. Charles loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Ice fishing with his father Joe and brother Ron. Charles also enjoyed having pool parties and fish fries in the summer with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children Timothy (Sally) Wasinack and Linda (John) Sweetman, grandchildren Baylee Wasinack, Alexandria (John) Ramczyk and Daniel Sweetman, great granddaughter Harper, siblings Ronald (Janet) Wasinack and Gretchen Neibuhr, sister-in-law Barbara Nelson and brother-in-law John (Joyce) Orlovsky. Charles is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheryl Wasinack, Grandson Joe Wasinack and aunt Marie Wasinack.
Private family services for Charles were held. Memorials in Charles' name have been suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
