Racine- Charles D. Hoffman, 81, passed away at Becker Shoop Center on Monday, August 22, 2011.Charles was born in Racine on May 8, 1930 to Emil and Ruth (nee: McConnell) Hoffman. He served in the United States Army from 1947 thru 1949, 18 months of that time was spent in Germany. Survivors include four children; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his sister, Patsy Karow. Charles is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernice Harmsen; great nephews, Chad Warf and David Harmsen; and great niece, Tammy Eccles.Charles will rest in peace with his family that passed before him. He will be greatly missed.
