RACINE – Charles R. Hanson, 82, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Chuck was born in Racine on October 2, 1933 to George A. and Elsie (nee, Severin) Hansen. He married the former Mary Phyllis Eschmann. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force for twelve years following which he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. In retirement he loved spending time up north at the lake in Antigo. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Phyllis Hanson; son, Brian (Judy) Hanson; brother-in-law, Joel (Linda) Eschmann; his special friends at V.I.P. Auto; and his dog, Vinnie. Chuck is also survived by nieces, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, George Hanson. In keeping with Chuck's wishes, a private family service was held, followed by interment at Mound Cemetery.
