RACINE – Charles W. Gunderson, 79, passed away at home on Friday, April 08, 2016.Charles was born in Milwaukee on May 6, 1936 to John and Dorothy (nee, Bohl) Gunderson. He married Jacquelyn (nee, Spinnato) on September 1, 1989. Charles served in the U.S Army and the U.S Navy Reserve. He worked as a long haul truck driver for many years and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his wife Jacquelyn Gunderson; daughter Nicole (Jeremy) Simon; sons, Curtis (Cindy) Gunderson, Chris (Jamie) Gunderson, and Kevin Gunderson; sisters, Helen Peterson and Janice Gunderson. Charles is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and beloved extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Ray Peterson. A Memorial Service for Charles will be held at the Harvest Community Church, 6612 S. Howell Avenue on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 celebrated by Pastor Justin James. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 4 p.m. until the time of the Service at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
