Carol L. Opine Racine – Carol L. Opine, 73, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Carol was born in Peoria, IL on May 9, 1936 to Wesley Park and Eva (nee, Chrisman) Park Lake. She married Neal R. Opine in Milwaukee on January 12, 1957. He preceded her in death in 1996. Carol was a member of Women of the Moose, Moose Bowling League, a wonderful cook and caregiver, master Scrabble player, best friend and advisor who brought joy and laughter to all of our lives.Carol is survived by her daughters Sherry Opine & Vicky Opine; sisters Janice Ruthanne Rhodes and Joyce (Sam) Dean; Aunt, Phyllis Chrisman; sisters-in-law, Avis (Richard) Koepsel and Alva (Ron) Sivak; and special niece, Donna (Jeff) Schlueter. Carol is also survived by wonderful and numerous nieces, nephews & special friends including, but not limited to, Jerry & Helen Kocourek, Dale & Rose Lautenbach, many children she cared for over the years, friends she loved and anyone else who's life she touched in very special ways. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother, Eva Lake; father, Wesley Park; sister, Juanita (Wayne) Hanlin; and brothers, Wesley Eugene (Vivian) Park, Dale William Park and Phillip (Bonnie) Park.Funeral services for Carol will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. Interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
