RACINE – Carol M. Dearsley, 99, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Carol was born in Racine on December 18, 1918 to Adolph and Ada (nee, Schmoll) Patzke. On March 30, 1946 she married John H. Dearsley. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1977. Carol worked for Kies Pharmacy for 25 years, from the day they opened until the day they closed. She loved gardening, baking, cooking and snowmobiling, but most of all she loved spending time with her grand children and grand dogs. Family was everything to her. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (James) Klepel; grandchildren, Craig (Emily) Klepel, Stacey (Robin) Kiefer and Kelli (Andrew) Steenrod; great grandchildren, Kiley Klepel, Ginger and River Kiefer, and Zack, Evan and Nate Steenrod. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Wynstra; and her grand pets, Ripley and Kozmo. Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman "Red" Patzke and Fred "Bud" Patzke. Funeral services for Carol will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Racine Lutheran High School or the Wisconsin Humane Society.
