Bruce E. Kannenberg age 62,Our loss became heaven's gain on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012. Bruce was born in Brown Deer Wisconsin on November 13th, 1950. He graduated from Brown DeerHigh school in 1968 and retired from Delco electronics after 30+ years of service in 2007. Bruce married Susan P. Stache on June 5th, 1976 at St. Marks Lutheran church in Brown Deer. They resided in Racine together along with their daughter Erin. Susan preceded Bruce in death on October 23rd, 2011. Bruce was also preceded in death by his father Edmund J. Kannenberg, sister Donna M. Holtz, father-in-law Harold A. Stache, and sister-in-law Laura Stache. Bruce was survived by his daughter Erin (Lance) Van Ert, Grandson Lincoln Van Ert, Parents Donald and Lorraine Sattler Sr., Brothers, Arden (Carol) Kannenberg, and Donald Jr. (Camille) Sattler, Sister Debbie (Dan) Cropp, brother-in-law Norman Holtz, Aunt Betty, Mother-in-Law Janette Sackett, Brothers-in-law Mike(Kim) Stache, and Wesley Stache, Sisters-in-law Carol (Jim) Schad, Julie (Mel) Haas, Mary Hackl, and Pauline (Randy) Bay. Bruce was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.Bruce was loved by many people. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors by hunting and fishing and loved to polka dance.A memorial service will be held Saturday December 8th, 2012 beginning at 1pm, service at 2pm with a luncheon to follow. The service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia where Bruce was a member for many years.We want to extend many thanks and gratitude to Bruce's 'Kidney Brother' Jim Schad. Jim donated his kidney to Bruce in 1990. It was the first living non-related donor transplant at froedert hospital. A thank you to Bruce's brother Arden and to all of the caregivers over the past years. May you dance many polkas in heaven.
