Conroe, TX – Betty G. Jensen, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Betty was born in Racine on May 3, 1926 to Charles A. and Susie (nee, Smieding) Ybema. She married Wallie W. Jensen on November 26, 1969 in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1993. Betty and Wallie were owners of Wall-eyes Tavern for over 25 years, retiring in 1991. She was a former member of the Racine Tavern league. Survivors include her sons, Richard (Robin) Weeks and James Weeks; six grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Bunny Ybema. Betty is also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sister-in-law, Art (Lucy) Ybema and Lawrence Ybema and her sisters, Margurite Wyma and Catherine Pease. Funeral services for Betty will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
