Bette E. Selky Racine – Bette E. Selky, 80 passed away at Hospice House in Kenosha on Thursday, December 10, 2009.Bette was born in Wabasha, MN on November 5, 1929 to Galend and June (nee, Koelmel) Lampman. She was united in marriage to Edwin H. Selky in Colorado Springs, CO on April 6, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2007. Bette retired from Wells Fargo Bank where she worked for many years as Administrative Secretary. She loved to spend her time fishing, reading, baking and cross stitching. Survivors include her children, Daniel (Beverly) Selky of Iowa, Debora M. Gault of Waterford and Douglas E. (Joan) Selky of Racine; grandchildren, Emelia Grace Selky and Lilian Faith Selky; and her sisters and brother, Joy (Carl) Marinac, Dave (Gail) Lampman, both of Racine, Robert Lampman of FL and June Akerlund of FL. Bette is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services for Bette will be held at St. Michel's Episcopal Church on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Terry McGugan officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
