Racine – Barry Wayne Nimz, 75, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, March 15, 2013 after complications from a long and courageous battle with cancer. Barry was born in Wausau, WI on October 24, 1937 to Walter C. and Violette L. (nee, Sillars) Nimz. He married Barbara Reinke, recently celebrating their 50th Anniversary. Barry served in the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Division and retired from Schlitz Brewing Company. Barry is survived by his wife, Barbara Nimz; children, Kerry Nimz, Brad (Kris) Nimz, Brenda (Kevin) Wishau, Brent (Bridget) Nimz and Brooke (John) Rusfeldt; grandchildren, Michael, Dallas, Elijah, Savannah, Zoe, Brieana, Heather, Sunshine, Chandra, Kiersten, Ian and Aron; great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Barry is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Barry will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
