RACINE – Barbara (Buscemi Bogan) Gatzke found eternal peace on Monday, May 15th at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. Barb was born on December 3, 1944 to Sam and Mae Buscemi. She lived in Racine most of her life. Barb was a longtime employee, and retired from, Lincoln Lutheran. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and sharing in their life activities. She was definitely an extraordinary grandmother! She is also survived by her brother, John (Leone) Buscemi and many other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Debra and Rosemary; and a brother, Eugene. Funeral services for Barb will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, corner of Erie and Kewaunee Streets, on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church. Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Pastor Jack Gilbert for his spiritual support, and to Dr. Michael Mullane and the staff of Ascension All Saints and St. Luke's Medical Center for their compassionate care.
