Barbara ComptonRacine- Barbara Compton (nee: Rymenams), 68, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Monday, April 30, 2007.Barbara was born in Racine on November 17, 1938 to Gustave and Gladys (nee: Hering) Rymenams. She enjoyed gardening, and antique shows, and taking drives through the country. Barbara was a people person and enjoyed caring for others.She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Daniel Wachs) Haysmer-Wachs, Jeanie Compton, Kristine Compton, and Jennifer Compton; grandchildren, Shane, Kyle, Justin, Abbigal, Garrett, and Karrah; brothers, Duane (Pat) Rymenams , Vincent Martin, Jamie Martin, and Mark (Kris) Martin; step brothers and sisters, Betty Menden, Joyce (Donald) Anderson, Pat Miller, Yvonne (Ken) Craft, Donna Schuest, Jerome (Carolyn) Miller, James (Sheila) Miller, and Sue Miller; aunt, Donna Hanson; and former husband, father of her children and friend, Harley Compton. Barbara is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Gladys and James Martin, father and stepmother, Gustave and Bernice Rymenams, and brother, Harry Rymenams. Funeral services for Barbara will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Wheaton Franciscan Cardiac Department for their wonderful care.
